Warblers are deep forest birds and only the spring male has the fiery
throat that delights birders so much. Females, juveniles, and fall males
are much more nondescript. I fetched this one from the spruce-covered
slopes in the coastal highlands of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. |
