November 2011: Bufflehead (Bucephala albeola)

Buffleheads are always fun to photograph, and occasionally if you get the light just right, you can pick up the purple and green iridescence on the males head. This one was part of a group of five I found diving in an inlet just off 103 in York Harbor, Maine.
